Beach Time 2020

A few semi-recent images from walking the beaches of north Orange County, CA during COVID 19. Some cities were strict on enforcement and others are lenient. Glad certain bans are finally being lifted (and hopefully not recalled) and many of us can get out now. Normally these spots would be packed with people from all walks of life and anything but empty. Although I usually can’t stand crowds and often wish our beaches were much less populated with the wonderful people that come out of the woodworks, it is sad to see emptiness for the wrong reasons and everyone deserves the right to enjoy nature. (Just please respect it!!) Hopefully we get back to living life again soon, and I wish everyone health and happiness during all this B.S… Looking forward to our people, economy and world getting back on our feet and to having a cold beer in a bar without a mask again. Enjoy the small things in life and stay safe. Cheers

Badfish Roller Derby - summer 2019

Had the pleasure of working with the lovely ladies of Badfish Roller Derby out of Long Beach, CA. It was great to watch their skill and finesse mixed with some raw aggression and competitiveness that it takes to be successful on the arena. Thank you very much to the team and coaches for allowing me to jump out there and photograph (and not get smashed). I’m looking forward to their next bout. Rock n’ roll girls.

Dew Tour LBC - June 2019

Wow. Only 3 years since my last blog? Guess you can tell I’m not a millennial or an active blogger (which I am working on - I promise). Aside from that, here are a few grabs from the Dew Tour 2019 in Long Beach, CA this June. I wasn’t able to get a media pass but still wanted to shoot and watch some killer skating so I grabbed a camera and my 50mm and got as close as I could without irritating security (almost). Good practice to shoot with limited gear and access. Hats off to the skaters for doing what they do and going big. Great to watch true professionals in action and see the community come out to support skateboarding. Thank you to the skaters and sponsors for putting the event on! And yes, I am going to start posting more. Thanks for looking.
